Countertops are in!!

Our granite countertops are installed now and we are VERY happy with how they turned out! I am amazed by how they look in real life...photos don't do them justice. The granite is uba tuba gold, the sinks are blanco silgranit in anthracite, and Moen motionsense faucets. We also used the same granite for the fireplace hearth/surround/mantel to tie the room together. Thanks everyone for the helpful advice so far! Almost in the final stretch.... :-)

Now only to finalize backsplash, hardware, island pendants~ hopefully to sway towards modern/rustic :-)

I remember you trying to chose between the granite and the white laminate. Love how it picks up the black from the hickory knots! It's also great with the floor. It worked out perfectly!

I was going to ask you to confirm if you were the white/dark person with hickory. I thought so. It looks beautiful. All the details work really well together.

I love your cabinets and that huge gas stove. I hope you are going to do a lot of cooking. The granite tops it off beautifully!

My house is an open floor plan and the fireplace is currently bricked the same as the exterior. I don't like the brick inside, it isn't my style.

I never even thought about using the same granite as the kitchen to tie them in, thank you!

I remember voting for the light/white countertops but I will admit I was wrong. This looks gorgeous!!! Your kitchen is going to be one for the history books!

Thanks everyone! The cabinets are knotty hickory.
@musicteacher- We normally do a lot of cooking and canning from the garden, so it will get a lot of use.
@Texas_Gem - No problem!! IÃ¢ÂÂm sure that would look great in your space too!
@tinker1121- We would like to do a greenish rectangular tile - something like ming green marble. WeÃ¢ÂÂll try to get samples soon. I want to bring some color in with the tile, possibly lights, and accessoriesÃ¢ÂÂ¦

Yep. It was a perfect choice. And the fireplace tied in with the Uba Tuba is perfect, too! You will have a gorgeous home.

Love the dark sinks with the dark countertops - and I'm glad because we are doing the same thing. I was afraid it would all be too dark, but I feel better now! I bet it is wonderful to have sinks and counters. So jealous!

Nice color choices! Nice looking range hood, I'm glad you didn't go SS there. Copper accents maybe, to pick up the wood tones? Can't wait to see what back splash you use.
