Please help with my decision on the type of countertop to use in the laundry room adjacent to the kitchen (see doorway to left on photo below). Although it is the laundry room, I am hoping to make it appear to be a scullery or butler's pantry. The cat's litterbox is in there, so we must leave the door open and that side is completely visible from the kitchen.

We have Danby marble and a Walnut butcher block on the island (yes-it's a barrier island, but this is a facelift; not a remodel. It�s what we can afford and I�m happy with the layout). We have selected Brown Antique to replace the current laminate on the perimeter in the kitchen. Should we use walnut butcher block for the counter in the laundry room or continue with the brown antique. The cabs in the laundry room are black.
