So...all things being equal it's clear to me that touch latches on painted cabs are not the best idea. The constant touching will mar and wear away the finish.

We are in a situation where touch latches are the very best option and I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with them? I am using finger pulls in my kitchen and this would be in an adjacent wall of cabinets. There are sets of cabinets where 4 doors meet and there would be pairs of finger pulls butted up against each other and it isn't ideal. We want a streamlined look and don't want pulls on the face of the cabinets.

So, while it's not ideal, is it totally stupid to do the touch latches?? I had previously rejected the idea but I am revisiting after seeing the cabinets installed...
