There really aren't "brands" of plugmold. That's a trade name like Kleenex that's taken hold. There is at least one other maker of enclosed power strip , but it doesn't have switches, ect. Task is the name, I think.

Wiremold , owned by Legrand now, makes plugmold and i think still has a dual circuit version which might get you close to your goal.

The only thing I know of meeting most of your requirements is a system from the German kitchen firm SieMatic. They make an aluminum system that is primarialy a lighting system. Choose halogen or LED puck lights or LED or fluorescent strips. Then you can add receptacles and switches to the thing as you see fit. It also has a slot for hanging backsplash accessories.

1. It is VERY expensive. $500 a foot for the base configuration.
2. The adds are priced each and are hundreds too.
3. It's proprietary , so don't bother shopping for it.
4. A dealer will likely not be interested in selling you just that lighting system.

It is hard to see one at home. Many dealers don't show them.

Just curious, why would you need to switch off a receptacle?

I'm not sure "need" has anything to do with it.

ctycdm - Just an added safety feature considering that some of my appliances end up having their button turned on accidentally when they are wiped down after use. Visually, its not easy to make out if they are on or off, so......

I'm seriously more curious about this - why would you be more like to switch off the appliance at the outlet than you would be to turn off the appliance itself?

sjhockeyfan - Not so much about turning off the appliance itself during / after use, but as said earlier, a safety measure to ensure that the appliance is not accidentally "on" when plugged in.
