What is the difference between "built in" and "fully integrated"?

Just about all DWs are built in. You might be thinking paneled vs integrated where the difference is:

Does it look like an appliance with a cabinet door glued to it or does it look like another cabinet?

DWs aren't as bad as fridges.

Also fully integrated usually means all the controls are hidden on the top edge of the door, vs a small exposed control panel above the wood panel.

someone please correct me if i am wrong, but this is my basic understanding of dishwashers, lol. hth!

most dishwashers you buy that requires installation are classified as built-in.

these ones are fully integrated dishwashers

these are considered built-in dishwashers that are not fully integrated because you still see the control panel

this is a non-built-in dishwasher usually classified as portable
