| Hi there, I have a specific question that I hope someone can help me with. I am considering an Advantium 240 over a GE monogram 30" wall oven and think it might be handy to have a shallow drawer between them to hold the tray that is not being used in the advantium.
Has anyone done this, and do you have a picture or link to a picture? I have been unable to find one! Is this a good idea, or what do YOU do with the other tray? |

I have the Advantium and had a drawer put in under the oven specifically to hold the other trays. Sounded like a great idea at the time but hasn't turned out so useful. At first I had kept the trays in the drawer directly under the oven but quickly found it very annoying because as soon as I open the Advantium door, the drawer is completely blocked! Duh! You can see the drawer below the oven in the picture.
I ended up moving them to one of the drawers below the counter (the one on the left specifically). That location works out great. I have to say that I really like having the trays so close by because I do swap them out a lot. I tend to remove the speed tray after each use to make it easier on my appliance challenged husband. |

I have a drawer below my oven that I use to hold the advantium trays, extra oven rack, steamer and a few other things. It works out great. Easy to access. Don't know what I'd do without it. Here is a picture taken pre-countertop install and one of the drawer itself

| I put mine above the oven. I have slots and just roll them in. |

I have the Wolf Steam Convection oven and have the drawer underneath for the same reasons. I love it. I have the probe and any pans that I may use with it. I like having a "home" for it's belongings. |

| Hi -- I have a plllog-recommended shallow sub-drawer. There was room even for a second drawer below my undercounter miele. My counters are 37" and toekicks 3.5" so there was a little more drawer space than some may have. This is an old picture from just post-installation (one drawer front is missing and there seems still to be newspaper around the pyrex):
I agree having the drawer underneath means you can't so easily get into the drawer when the oven is open. However you learn quickly enough to work/plan around it. And I don't find I need the drawer's tray contents all that often. I tend to leave the glass tray in always and occasionally add the metal tray. But in that narrow drawer I also keep hot pads which I use all the time. As well as cookie sheets that fit the interior of the oven and the manual. It's nice to have it all very nearby and dedicated. And while you have to do some opening and closing and swapping around, you don't have to move to accomplish any of this so the tradeoff seems fine to me. Underneath the designated-narrow-speed-oven-drawer is a slightly deeper drawer that has lots of glass containers suitable for microwaving. I find I use this most often and again, it's nice having it all located right there. |
