Kohler Karbon as a Pot Fill

Posted by rbenjamin (My Page) on

Has anyone used the Kohler wall mount Karbon as a pot fill behind a professional range?

It seems like it might work, but I am concerned about the heat from the range on the faucet itself.

Any comments?

RE: Kohler Karbon as a Pot Fill

Not allowed by plumbing code. If you are going to have a pot filler, it has to be a designated pot filler, with the double shut off valves (and you still may have a leak). A faucet has to have a drain under it. Which is why prep sinks are more important than pot fillers. Pot fillers are on the wane as more and more people discover their drawbacks (and expense).
