I found this article very insightful. Maybe some of you will, too especially if your remodel is stressing you out too much. This is a short excerpt on solving conflict. I wish I had known this 2 years ago... might have short-circuited some frustrating moments:

"Take a deck of cards, throw out everything but an ace, a king, a queen and a jack. The husband and wife each get one. When a decision comes up where there's conflict, you each have to play a card depending on how important it is to you. Once that card is played, it's gone, so pick your battles carefully, there's no re-dealing."
