Hi all,

Figured I would post some pictures of our remodeled 1900's kitchen.

To start, the kitchen was horrible when we purchased the home, poor layout, builder special re-muddled cabinets.

Click on the "HOUZZ LINK" below the pic to see all our kitchen/breakfast room photos.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at d_matlosz@yahoo.com

Beautiful! What a fun space to work in. What kind of soapstone did you use?

We used the existing space, no addition.

The cabinets were made by an Amish friend of mine. If you or anyone is interested in cabinets, I can pass along his info.

The name of the soapstone escapes me.

THANKS FOR ALL THE POSITIVE COMMENTS!

Absolutely spectacular. I am smitten with your kitchen. I really could look at it for hours! How high are your ceilings and how high is your crown? I am currently struggling with crown options.

JUST WONDERFUL!!!! Gosh I love it all. Such great use of space, wonderful proportions, great details!

The cabs are 48 inch with molding that is about 6-8 inches? I would have to measure.

I'd be interested in your cab maker :) My house is also from 1900. Your cabs look great!!! (and overall kitchen has such a great old house feel whilst still being updated.) Are your base cabs open fully underneath? I really like that, I think it opens up the heaviness of base cabs, and is nicely balanced by the to ceiling uppers (I look I've been trying to find--so thanks for posting your pics :) !).

Absolutely lovely kitchen! The cabinets fit a period house to a "T". You did a fantastic job in design.

In what state is your cabinet maker and what is the color of the paint on the walls in your eating area?

I love your cabinets so much! The style and the color and the crown molding as well as the exposed hinges. The hardware chosen also is perfect for the look you are going for. Gorgeous!

TeamLDH, Just beautiful! Your kitchen cabinet maker did a beautiful job making your cabinets. Where in PA is he located? I am in NJ and parts of Eastern PA are 1 hour from me and some parts are 2.5 hours from me and the farthest west is way too many hours from me.
