Microwave over range subbing for Frigidaire

Any suggestions for an over the range microwave that has a good reputation, is mid-range, doesn't have to have convection, is a stainless steel with black highlights, and looks like a Frigidaire range with a black stovetop? I bought a Frigidaire Gallery range and am happy about that choice but hadn't bought the OTR microwave yet and now am learning that the Frigidaire OTR microwaves are overall not well reviewed.

Any suggestions? My range is the Frigidaire Gallery Series FGGF304DL (link to it with a photo is at and so far the models that seem like the best substitutes for the Frigidaire model that are well reviewed are a Whirlpool like the WMH32517A(link at or possibly a GE Spacemaker like the JVM1740 ( or a Maytag like the MMV1164W (

I'm leaning toward the Whirlpool model because it looks so much like the Frigidaire, but open to other ideas. All of the models are $275 to $350 or so, and I'm open to spending more $ if needed, but happy spending $300 to $350.

My bigger issue is that the height is about an inch or more too long and is going to be impeding on my stovetop clearance as a result, but that's a subject of a different post.

Thanks for any suggestions. I need to buy within the week .

We bought the Whirlpool one I believe you are referring to last week and installed it. No problems yet. Very quiet, as opposed to old range hood. We purchased it from Lowe's and it had pretty good feedback.

Thanks for your help - I did end up buying the Whirlpool and so far so good, we're close to the 3 month mark using it and I'm so happy I didn't buy the Frigidaire. Other than a blue LED light vs. the green/yellow one on the Frigidaire range (which I also love), they look very nice together.
