Everything but the kitchen sink

Our remodel selections are mostly chosen, with the exception of the sink. We just picked up an Elkay Dayton 18 gauge SS double bowl undermount sink (Home Depot) and now that I've read their maintenance recommendations I'm back to drawing board... I don't like the idea of having to baby a sink (only clean in the direction of the satin finish, towel dry after each use, don't leave a wet sponge in the sink, etc...). Our current almond porcelain almond sink takes a beating and even when it shows black scratches it only needs to be buffed with a green brillo pad.

So, I'm leaning towards the Silgranit (white) or perhaps the Kraus 16 gauge SS. Does anyone have either of these? Would love to hear your experience with them.

Also, how does white Silgranit look with a gloss white subway tile backsplash?
