I looked online for pricing but ended up buying the same tile from a local supplier. I was too worried about what would happen if the tile was broken, not what I expected, etc.

I haven't bought porcelain tile online, but I did purchase our Montauk Black Slate 24"x24" kitchen floor tiles online.
They arrived from California, at our place on Long Island, in good order. Without any broken tiles.
If you're going to order your tiles online, be aware of shipping costs.
Tiles are really heavy. As a result, you may be better off purchasing locally, if you can find what you like.
