Upper cabinet and Undercabinet Range hood

I thought I had decided on the Kobe CHX9130SQB undercabinet range hood but just realized a potential problem. Our upper cabinets(including the over the range hood one) will be 13" deep (from front to back) but the range hood is only 12" deep on the top.

What is the ideal solution for this problem?
Place a 1" filler(wood or metal) on the wall and install the range hood to that filler? Does that increase noise? One major reason we chose Kobe was to keep the noise levels down hoping that we will be able to use the hood more often than now.

Or Should I let the cabinet overhang the hood by 1". I am not sure of the aesthetics of it.

Thanks for any advice you have for me.
Demo in one week and I am still no where near finalizing so many details :-( stressed..
