Or something completely black? Why do you want to change it?

Are you wanting to lighten things up? Do you want a different surface? Are your island cabinets a different color and you now feel the counter should be too?

What color are your cabinets?

The cabinets are a medium maple with a brown wash. Yes, I am trying to brighten up the kitchen.
