Dishwasher Handle Broken :-(

Posted by april_love (My Page) on

My kitchen has been (almost) done for almost a year. This evening as I opened the dishwasher door the handle broke.

Here's the kicker. We bought our appliances about a year before we actually started the remodel (we underestimated the cost and had to continue saving.)

Do I have any recourse with Sears/Kenmore? Is there an easy fix?

RE: Dishwasher Handle Broken :-(

You can always try to get it covered under warranty. If they won't and you are handy enough, it is easy to get parts through the Sears Parts website. I recently got a new wheel and bag holder for our lawnmower and a drive belt for our washing machine. You may even be able to find a YouTube video on how to fix the dishwasher.

Here is a link that might be useful: Sears Parts Direct
