If you're going to write on the wall...

Make certain you use good penmanship.

So, in the years that I've not had walls, I've written aphorisms, quotes that spoke to me (no pun intended) and other little snippets that I liked or resonated.

When I started getting drywall, it wasn't finished, so I just transitioned to the unfinished drywall. I found it very entertaining to have an Oscar Wilde or some other encouraging person like Buddha to greet me in the morning.

2 coats of Kilz (which is MADE for drywall) stain blocking primer.
2 coats of paint.
1 coat of drywall mud.
2 coats of primer.
2 coats of paint.

AND IT'S STILL THERE! I thought it was taken care of, but lo and behold, today it was back like it had a single coat of paint over it. I cannot believe it.

Black felt marker, blue and black ink pens.
Thank GOD I didn't use red.
Let that be a lesson to you. Never scribble.

My favorite:
"My own business bores me to death. I prefer other people's." - Oscar Wilde.
