| When you had your countertop installed, did you just sign the cursory boilerplate contract the countertop installer provided, or did you make changes? I may be overthinking this, but it'd be nice to have something in writing in case they damage my brand new cabinets. |

| good point, never thought of that. when i had my bathrooms done, i didn't sign anything. he only provided the quote with the prices for the pieces, edge, cutouts, etc. |

| Minor damage to your cabinets and walls is one possible outcome of any trade in your kitchen, not just countertop installers. Most will tell you to expect minor scuffs and scrapes and to save any final touchups until the last possible moment. If the damage is beyond a touchup kit, then that's what liability insurance is for, both the tradesman and you as a homeowner. |
