Thank you greenhaven. DH is a rock collector- he chose the granite- it has ribbons of quartz and flecks of pyrite- he is very happy.

We did add the new pantry door with reeded glass. Old one was just a plain 4 panel door.

Wow! That is awesome. That granite is something else. Is your backsplash matte? I like the contrast when you're looking at it compared to the glossy counters.

Thank you! The backsplash is matte and glass. It is hard to see in the photos. The brown glass has some iridescence and looks pretty when the lights shine on it. We thought the colours looked nice with the granite, and liked that it has a random pattern- 1x1, 2x2, and 1x2 all mixed together.
