My Medallion cabinets

mightymaxwestie, you had asked for an update on my cabinets. Well good news is that they arrived today. Bad news is that they all still packaged up, and we won't be opening them up for another couple of days while the kitchen and living room get a fresh coat of paint. My contractor will have them installed by the weekend. I will be sure to provide an update and share pics. From the one cabinet (super Susan) that was unpacked, they looked gorgeous!!!!

I ordered Medallion cabinets in silver line Winston door. Perimeter cabinets in Divinity White and island base cabinets in Espresso.

At first I chose Carisle door style, but an experienced KD warned me of the fact that with painted medallion silver line cabinet, mider edges on door tend to expand and show ugly gap. I saw the Brookhill door at a showroom which was gorgeous, but my budget didn't allow for their Designer Gold line, so I picked Winston which was closest in look to Brookhill. This allowed me to splurge on crown molding, light rail molding, and matching drawer fronts and finished sides, and still stay within my budget.

So cabinets are in process of being installed. Sadly I haven't seen them yet (living in another town while the house we're about to move into is being renovated). Here are pics of cabinets in midst of installation sent by my contractor. I will be seeing them this weekend in person.

Crown molding and light rail not installed yet.

Very exciting! My cabinets (Innermost) arrived Wednesday too. Unfortunately, I'm going to be lagging behind you a good bit. Inspection tomorrow, and install probably starting the 21st.

Yours look very nice. Great that you'll get to visit them soon!

Beware Medallion does not honor their warranty! We purchased $18,000 of cabinets from them. Not one single cabinet out of the box is good. Open miters on every door & drawer front, cracks all over the place gaps inside the cabinets, and the stacked cabinets don't match up at all. The range hood is cracked and scratched so badly we didn't even take it out of the box all the way. They are only offering us $5,000 credit towards a new set of cabinets. #medallionfailsoncraftmanship
