question - caesarstone island and marble or quartzite perimeter

I want a mostly all white kitchen look but my DH thinks we need contrast so prefers a dark countertop. We have white cabinets including island. So, my proposal: caesarstone concrete for island and carerra marble or a white/gray quartzite (ie princess white) for perimeter. Anyone seen or done this look? I've seen a ton in the reverse, dark perimeter and light marble island but our island will get most wear and tear (I think) so want more durable. Just wondering if it would look off balance. Our island is 5'x3.5 so not super huge. Appreciate any input!

I live in a house with a light perimeter and dark island. I don't like the kitchen, but I do like this detail-- it's one of the only things I like! I'm considering doing the same thing on my new kitchen, too.
