It's probably too small for an island.

Can you sketch a floor plan with dimensions and post it on here? It may or may not be too small depending on where other elements are. In my previous home, the kitchen was 12'4" wide and 14'+ long, but only had cabinets on one of the long sides. I had both a peninsula and an island and used both a lot. I definitely couldn't fit the island if I had had cabinets on the other long wall.
