Mark on new quartz countertop

After 4 months of renovations to our kitchen (total gut job) my husband and I left the house for a 2 day time away. During that time the floor finisher put the final coat on our oak strip hardwood, the proper dishwasher was delivered and installed and the cabinet maker came in to add a lazy susan, fix a small gouge in our quartz counter.
When we came back a mark on our countertop was found near the sink on the edge. It looks like an etching, but you can feel a rough spot where I think something was spilled. There is another tiny spot near the faucet. There is no colour stain.
I am sure these marks weren't there when we first had the counter installed. I remember marvelling at the wonderful edge and how smooth it was.
What do we do? Can this be polished out? I am not happy and regret taking those 2 days away.
