St. Lucia- Rosewood-Natural Countertops?

Aloha Everyone!!!

Happy Fourth of July from the islands! So, we've decided to go through HD for our cabinets since they were having an awesome promotion on cabinets .

For the Kitchen we chose the door style in St. Lucia-Rosewood in natural.

However, were having trouble choosing countertops. We have decided to go with Cambria instead of Viatera Quartz. For some reason, Cambria was significantly cheaper than Viatera. It was about a $5,500 difference!

We wanted to get the style in Torquay below. The Cambria representative stated that this type of countertop will go great with the cabinets which is also my first choice since it's timeless and elegant.

However, the HD KD stated that since the cabinets are pretty "wild" and not "neutral," in style the Torquay countertop from Cambria would be "too much" and will be "sore on the eyes" as time progresses.

I honestly don't think the countertop is "too much" when I compared it with the Rosewood cabinets.

What do you all think of the Torquay countertop from Cambria together with the Rosewood cabinets from Innermost (Elkay)?

Any other suggestions? Yay? Nay?

I would not consider that counter top as "too busy" by a long shot!

I agree with new-beginning...that is a really quiet countertop IMHO. I also agree with the KD that a busy countertop would be too much with the beautiful but definitely the "star of the party" cabinets you have chosen but I'm not sure why she considers this one too much.

Nice to see another Innermost kitchen on order. My cabinets are due Wednesday. I'm getting Kendall/Natural Cherry.

Your cabinets are gorgeous and I agree that that doesn't appear too busy to me. Should look great.

I really like the two together. Here is my bathroom vanity with a marble top. Not the same but similar in contrast and "busy"-ness. Oh, and look; I have yet another pattern on the floor : )

I love my combo. The color of the floor never comes across correctly in pictures. It has more blues then what the camera can pick up, for some reason.

Did you pull the trigger RMB808? I've been thinking about you. I ran across another GW poster with 808 in the name while reading old BlueStar threads, and thought I'd check in with you.

How long are they quoting you time wise? In CA we were quoted 6-8 weeks. We ordered 5/11 and cabinets rolled in 7/9.

I love the combination. It is not to busy.

There are lots of other more solid white quartz patterns, but using them is completely unnecessary.

Your KD seems to have a limited tolerance if she thinks either these counters or cabinets are "wild."

I don't know if you have ordered the Torquay yet, but I think it will look beautiful with your cabinets. We have Torquay in our kitchen. Picture attached for reference so you can see the quartz on a large scale.

Actually, I could see how the patterns could compete with each other. However, the quartz pattern is subtle enough, and seldom would you be seeing the main surfaces beside each other. Mostly you will be looking down at the counter and seeing little cab, or at the cab and seeing little counter.

Would super love to see pictures of your kitchen! My daughter is getting the exact same cabinets so would be great to see how yours turned out. Can you post up more pics perhaps?? :)
