Mineral Black Soapstone

Posted by GDLions (My Page) on

I am trying to pick between two soapstones, one I can find locally, Mineral Black
and Barroca Soapstone
which I have to get online or drive almost 2 days to go look at.

I like the more solid colored soapstone where it is not as speckled (if that makes sense). Does anyone have the Mineral Black, and if so is it heavily speckled like the Vermont Soapstone I have seen or is the black color more even? Also if you have Barroca, same question.

Hope this makes sense :) Thanks for any help!

RE: Mineral Black Soapstone

i'm a future soapstone owner so your post caught my eye. so i can't say about the speckling. but i was wondering about ordering online. i was put off by the shipping process. i guess it would have made more sense if i had already picked a fabricator and would have it shipped there. good luck choosing!
