I only have a minute, but I'll say thay bin pulls would bug me. You have to reach up UNDER them to open them. That seems like a hassle to me. I'm frequently in a hurry around the kitchen so I sometimes just reach down with one finger curled around the top of one of my pulls to open a drawer. I couldn't do that with a bin pull. I'd have to reach under. Plus, the lower drawers are just easier to open in general from above. You'd have to reach down and under for a bin pull.

So for me......

bin pull = only one way to open. From below.
Regular pull = two ways to open. From above or from below.

Hey Breezy!!!! [Big Smile, wishing I could actually hug you.... how ludicrous is that?] Yep, been away for a while and this house is still not finished, big-time. Finally getting re-started a teensy bit. Emphasis on teensy.

This is for a bathroom though, where hands are not mucked up with goo as in a kitchen. I totally hear you about the one-finger drawer pull. I have iron handles in the kitchen and I like that a lot; they are cleanable and need to be. And black which is also a plus ;) Just imagine what must build up in a kitchen beneath those cups.

You know, they're called "bin pulls", right? I bet they were designed originally for a bin that hinges downward from a horizontal attachment -- so I bet you would need to hook your fingers up and pull down; I bet that's what those style of pulls do. Therefore, attaching them to a drawer that pulls out is not such a real priority I'm guessing. And whereas with the bin pull you'd trade-off function for dirt-catching ability, there's more on the function side of the aisle. Plus... I bet those bins were for grains, as in those Hoosier cabinets there have been threads here on. I bet the enclosed top bit is actually helpful in those situations cleanliness-wise....

So .... seems like for a pull-out drawer a bin pull provides little benefit and more "cost".

But what about a finger pull? Maybe that's an effort to marry the two for someone who wants that kind of style on a drawer??
