I used these same exact tiles in my bath. I found the built in spaces to be inconsistent, so I did use spacers for them to be safe and am very happy I did.

Late to this, but wanted to second using the spacers. We used the same tiles and had to totally redo our bs due to slight variances (and crooked walls)! The second time around, spacers did the trick. Good luck!

Just to be contrary...I used very similar tiles (think they were Datile) without spacers, white grout, and the backsplash came out great. I'm suppose for the best consistency, spacers would help, but then the final result depends on your skill and prep as much as anything.

I am having the same issue. Did you end up using spacers? If so doesn't using a 1/16" spacer give you a 1/8" grout line?

Regardless of what people are posting here you absolutely do not use spacer tabs with subway tile that has built in spacer tabs. Those tabs are in place for that reason. if you add 1/6” spacers you will create a 1/8“ joint which is too big for that size tile. If installed correctly by a professional (like me) the job should turn out great with natural 1/6” joints, and no walking or inconsistency.

HU-545520303, question I bought 3x6 subway tile that g he as the built in spacer. It is a very small opening between tiles very thin. On white tiles can I use a dark grey grout and it will look good or should I just use white grout ?

My installer did not use spacers and I can hardly see the charcoal grout at all. He said spacers weren't used with this kind of subway tile but then I did not get the look I wanted. Still looks good but not the noticeable dark grout lines I had wanted and now it is too late.
