orientation of rectangular prep sink

Hi all, I think I'm purchasing this sink (or similar) for a 24" cab in my bar/prep area. It's ~17.5" x 9.5". Is there a rule of thumb on the orientation to mount? ie, long side parallel to the wall or perpendicular? How about the distance from the front of the cabinet? Faucet placement? I've seen pictures of a number of options, and I'm trying to figure the pros/cons of each approach.

I think it is completely your choice. You could orient it vertically with the narrow end towards you and mount the faucet to the left or right. Look at Plllog's reveal and her funky prep sink with Kohler Karbon as well as Will2K's more recent reveal with the Franke Beach prep sink.
