You could use back plates to cover the hole.

What color/style of hardware would you chose? I'm just looking on myknobs.com and see quite a few with 1" centers, if you really don't want to drill and fill.

I've got pulls on brain, as I was trying to replace hardware on a server that has three different (oddball) sizes, plus knobs.

You have a few choices:

1) fill the holes and then you can pick whatever hardware you like with no restrictions.

2) Use pulls and/or knobs with a backplate. Search on myknobs.com for "backplate" and you'll see some examples.

3) Use the cup pulls that you like on the drawers and then a coordinating knob with a backplate on the doors. Something like this one: http://www.myknobs.com/libp28198stbc.html

4) Use the cup pulls that you like on the drawers and fill 1/2 the holes on the doors and use the other hole for a knob.

Of course, I forgot the easiest solution:

5) Find pulls you like with 1" centers. As posted above by someone else, there are some out there.

There are so many great knobs and pulls from which to choose. Plus, they can really give cabinets and the entire kitchen a big boost. If pulls with 1" centers are scarce and, more importantly, don't really do much for you, then I'd consider filling those holes and looking for something you really like. Give it a try. If the filled holes don't look good, you can always re-drill in the original holes.

Thanks so much for your help! I did search on myknobs.com and filtered by center to center size, but it didn't come up with very many. I like the look of the ones Susie posted, not sure why they didn't come up in my search. :-)
