| I've seen a few kitchens with wall ovens in the dead-space corner. Those that have done this, do you love it? Would you do it again? Do you find it sticks out too much or it was a genius way to avoid the lazy susan shelving??
Thanks in advance. |

| Love, love, love our ovens in the corner! I have a fairly long thread on corner ovens saved. If you're interested, email me through the "My Page" link and I'll be happy to send it to you. The one thing that you should be aware of is that putting ovens (or anything really) in the corner takes up quite a bit of wall space on either side of the corner. My 33" oven cabinet occupies about 48" of wall space on both walls. If you have a small kitchen, this can be a problem, but if you have the room, it can give you some nice layout options. |

| WallyCat, notice that Alku05's ovens do not stick out into the kitchen as much as you would think..she recessed them by pushing the oven cabinet to the back wall. Most corner ovens that you see in magazines bring the oven cabinet out flush with the cabinets on either side. Those will stick out into the aisle more than Alku05's. Additionally, the non-recessed ovens, to me, seem to have a more massive presence than the recessed ones...but that could just be me! I love the way Alku05's ovens look and tried very hard to incorporate the same thing in my kitchen...but, alas, I wasn't able! |
