Jeanteach....I did a search under the name and looked through the posts. I couldn't find a close up picture of the beveled backsplash but the kitchen did look great. Jean I am curious, how would you describe your kitchen...I am wondering if I could pull off the beveled look?

mcleanl: I've posted some pix of my kitchen. Mine has been a medium reno: kept the cabinets, dishwasher, and fridge. Replaced laminate with Jet Mist honed granite, new ss undermount sink, new faucet, new gas cooktop (replaced electric). Will also be installing new double wall ovens and the backsplash. I love subway tile and thought the beveled would be nice. I hope I can pull it off!

Jeanteach...your kitchen is fantastic and I love your granite. I am getting a vintage feel in the pics you posted originally and from the pics of your kitchen. I just don't know if I would be able to pull that look off...I have a fairly modern looking floor tile which is making things difficult. Thanks so much for sharing.

What a great kitchen, jeanteach - I love the red accents!

My backsplash is a subway tile with a very slight bezel. I was hesitant about that aspect of it, but it turned out really nice - the bezel gives it a slight bit of dimension and highlights the grout. (I wish I'd chosen a slightly darker grout color - I wanted a grout color that would disappear, which it does, but I actually liked it better before it dried and it was darker.)
