Shallow Kitchen sink = short kitchen faucet? Your opinion please

We are custom making a granite sink and it will be 8 inches deep when under-mounted. It seems that tall gooseneck faucets came into being with deep steel sinks. So if we are going with a less deep sink would a tall gooseneck be wise for extra room with a pasta pot or does a less deep sink require a shorter faucet to reduce splash? Thanks for your help.

I should add that this sink will be 32 inches wide and I am placing the faucet to the right hand side middle - so we are interested in sinks with long hoses. Thx.

In my experience, most splashing comes off your hands and dishes, not off the bottom of your sink (never happens to me), so having the faucet reach into the center of the sink may be the most important factor.
