Congratulations It is beautiful and quiet. I love that backsplash like so many others. It is a perfect scale for your kitchen. It almost looks like herringbone :)

Looks great! I especially like the BS and shutters on the window. Such a clean look!

 o
RE: Brand New Galley Kitchen!!

Tell us about the hutch, please. Is it new? If so, a great idea.

I love the details and perfect use of space here. You will have so much fun sorting and arranging your storage spaces. And there is eye candy in color, pattern, line and proportion everywhere you look.
Really nice kitchen.

Very pretty! I saw that BS and wasn't sure about it, but now seeing it up in your kitchen I love it! And the paint color. All of it. Very nice job!!

RE: Brand New Galley Kitchen!!

Thank you all so much for your comments! The GW has truly been a source of inspiration for me.

In answer to a few questions regarding the hutch- it is a custom piece made by the cabinet maker. I am out of town this weekend and I will double check the measurements when I get home but my recollection is that it is 56" W x18" Dx83" high.

The hutch has added just enough storage to the space which was my main concern (besides needing major updating).

I love to hear the comments about it being a quiet space because it really is a retreat for me- thanks again all!!!!

Good luck to all the projects in process!

 o
RE: Brand New Galley Kitchen!!

Very nice. Beautiful backsplash. : )
Could you tell me what the width is between the countertops? Thanks. Great job! It looks like a sweet space to work in.

 o
RE: Brand New Galley Kitchen!!

Thanks laughable- the width between counter and peninsula is 44" at the widest part and @35 3/8 at the most narrow point- where the fridge sticks out.

 o
RE: Brand New Galley Kitchen!!

Hi @mfnJsb0809 - can you tell me the measurement of your peninsula counter area? I will have one what appears to be about the same size, and I have been trying to determine if I should go with one or two pendants over the bar area. And if two, how far apart to space them.

Would you mind sharing what you did?

Thank so much!

 o
RE: Brand New Galley Kitchen!!

Great use of your space. It is eye candy, of course, and it looks meticulously planned. Well done!
You will smile every time you walk into your kitchen!

 o
RE: Brand New Galley Kitchen!!

I'm glad this got bumped - I somehow missed it before. What a pretty kitchen, so cool and tranquil feeling. Like everyone else, I love that BS. Great job! Congratulations

 o
RE: Brand New Galley Kitchen!!
