Wow,
This is the first time I've heard of paperstone. I googled it and found so many rave reviews! I went with leathered black granite in my kitchen as an alternative to soapstone but I would have absolutely considered this if I'd known about it. For others that aren't familiar:

Thanks, rookie 2010, it just so happens I used to work in a hospital lab and loved how the countertops looked in them. Even with chemicals and flames they held up well. Guess I need to do more homework. Thanks for your info.

I was just reading about this too. I definitely want to look into this further. I don't know how they compare, but Richlite is also made from recycled paper. They both look like good options to me!
