 o
'showy' backsplash for wetbar?

Our kitchen will be very traditional. White shaker cabinets, white subway tile backsplash, Vermont white granite (aka super white quartzite), dark wood floors, and chrome faucets. You get the idea, right? The wetbar is just around the corner from the kitchen, but we've decided to make it look more like built-ins and part of the family room. We've selected dark wood cabinets and black granite (blue in the night- black with shimmery flecks of blue). (we- I keep typing that but the white kitchen is all me and the black wetbar is definitely dh. Lol!) I've been talking about using silver tin ceiling tiles for the backsplash. Dh is ho-hum about it. He'd really like modern little rectangular glass tiles, but he knows that it won't fit in with the rest of our house.

Any other suggestions for a fancy "sparkly/showy" backsplash that will still kind of fit in with our very traditional house design? Or should I really just keep telling him to get used to the idea of tin ceiling tiles? ;-)

You could do a mirror backsplash for a bar.

You could do stainless

You could do iridescent.

You could do a matching backsplash to the counter...

I don't have a picture but in a powder room that I wanted a bit of bling but not take away from the granite so we chose small rectangular glass subway tiles (3 x 6 )then a strip of granite ( 1.5 inches wide ) then another layer of glass tiles. Finishes it off without taking away from the granite counter.
