What is the finish on the white cabinets?

Look in the Finished Kitchen Blog. Many pictures of this classic combo. A recent thread talked about the pros and cons of black granite polished and honed. Many felt that you see every streak and crumb on the polished. Others said they did not have a problem with it. I wonder if this has to do woth how much natural light you get in your kitchen?

Get the honed. If you get Absolute Black polished, the reflection of the overhead lights or undercabinet lights on the polished black surface will be really annoying. It'll be a constant glare every time you turn lights on.

Also, make sure not to get it sealed. Absolute Black is so dense that sealant will just sit on the surface and look bad. A lot of granite installers don't realize this about Absolute Black, and since they always apply sealer upon installation of other granites, will do it with Absolute Black as well. I think some people mistake the haze from sealant on their Absolute Black for a problem with the Absolute Black, but it's actually a problem with sealant on Absolute Black. No sealant, no haze.

The granite is "Blue in the Night" polished. The backsplash is Daltile 3x6 subway tiles.
