I tried a lot of things and nothing worked better than good ol' dish soap and microfiber cloths. The trick to avoid streaks is to wipe right away. I have the soapy cloth in one hand and wipe with a dry cloth in the other.

The reason that appears to work is that finger prints are little oil deposits left on an oil-free surface. All you've done is spread a little oil everywhere so the marks no longer show. It's not cleaning per se, more of a polish, but if it looks the way you want it to, great. You can accomplish the same with almost any oil.

I wash the grime and dust off with a soapy sponge, dry with a towel, and apply good ol' baby oil for a flawless finish.

EAM: yeah I see what you're saying. But I use the thing so much that I'd love it to look perfect every day. It also appears to darken the stainless which I like. Maybe I'll try the stuff you guys suggested, but right now this thing looks perfect I hardly want to touch it.

If you can manage not touching it, anything will work. The problem with the oils that make the surface look great is that they do leave that deposit and then those oils smear and smudge.

I went through a whole series of cleaners and polishes and finally found one that looked good and cleaned easily enough. I think what I'd actually done was finally clean off everything else and had one finish on the surface so it smeared less, but anytime I had to clean even one finger print, I'd have to clean the entire front of my fridge. When I used a microfiber cloth and nothing but water, it took a few rounds to get the surface really clean, but now all I use is water and the cloth and I can clean just the smudge. That's what makes it a lot easier, but I also think it tends to stay cleaner longer in general.
