Back from Scotland! Installed pulls today. Have a tour.

We returned home on Wednesday. Pics of our trip are here.

While we were away for 2 weeks, the contractors installed counters, made all the plumbing functional, hooked up our AC unit and built a deck. Because the room is long and narrow and I don't have a wide angle lens for my camera, currently, I made a little video tour.

For those who asked, the foot pedals are better than we'd hoped for. They even flip up so we can clean under them. Someone tell my DH I used 'we' in that sentence?

Looks great! I thought you were going to work the taps with the foot pedals for us! :)

I particularly like the photo in the graveyard with the raven landing. Cool shot!

Beautiful cabinets. Unique choices.

Loved your tour of Scotland. We are headed to British Isles in August for 3+ weeks, so enjoyed the preview of some of our trip. Thanks for sharing.

I like the diamond pattern glass in your cabinets. So a mirror is the stove backsplash? Will uppers be going on that side of the kitchen? I've never seen a mirror backsplash. Is it tempered?

Trip photos are gorgeous! Nice photography. I loved the lighting on the kids at the aquarium.

updating: It's called Morisco glass. I wasn't going to go with glass uppers, but I fell in love with it. The area behind the stove is open to the dining room (not a mirror). It's just a really small house!

Our appliances arrive Monday. They should be installed by the end of the week, so I'll post another tour, working the foot pedals and walking around into the dining room, too.

byzantine: No we will not be driving. Part cruising, and part just using public transportation. Always have good luck using local underground, buses, trains, etc. Good way to meet locals, too.
