That is really nice, Chamois. Something that'd be on my short list for sure. I don't know how it'd look in your kitchen or if you'd be interested, but you can't get much more classic than 4x4s set diagonally and they haven't been overdone for over 40 years. :)

I just had the lightest member of this family of colors installed. It's called Buttermilk and has been out about 2 years. There's also Shitake in a dark gray. I'm thinking of a larger format subway tile with a subtle mosaic behind the chimney hood. Something like this:

francoise47 - It IS beautiful! What would you have done for a backsplash? Any recommendations? I don't know that I have seen your finished kitchen ... I will hunt around.

I love it. It provides good contrast with the white cabinets, but also has some warmth. I think it would look good with a light greenish or blue subway tile or little mosaic tiles of beige, brown, white, and gray.
