Is 12" too much space between faucet and sprayer on sink?

We have the largest Kohler Whitehaven. The center if drain to edge measurement is just over 6". If we put the faucet (single handle) centered on the sink and the sprayer centered on the drain there is obviously a huge space between them. This is what the marble fabricator suggests. Any thoughts? We have nothing else going g in like a soap dispenser,etc.

It would be too much for me, not because of aesthetics, but because I'd feel like I was reaching far for that sprayer. Or are you standing more in front of the sprayer when you're working?

You don't want either a pull-down or a pull-out with the sprayer incorporated? Or am misunderstanding your question?

I have the Faucet. The sprayer is a separate component. I feel like I'll stand in the center if the sink. Shouldn't I center the faucet?
