I went with LED strips because I didn't want a visible fixture, so I'm no help.

I have white cabinets and I just had white xenon undercounter lights installed and I don't notice them at all. I think they should blend with the cabinets and not be very noticable.

If it were me, I would look into LED strip lighting rather than pucks. Pucks tend to give "pockets" of light, whereas the strips give a more continuous lighting...much more preferable, IMO.

Sorry to highjack this thread but does anyone have a link to led under cabinet lighting that is bright enough. Let's say around 200 lumens per foot.

I haven't been able to find much that is reasonably priced.

As for op, I would go "White" so they blend in.

Renosarefun - we used the lights from Enviromental Lights and I've been extremely pleased with them so far. They are rated at 190 lumens for the 12" strip. If I'm prepping at the counter rather than the island, these are absolutely bright enough. Dimming will add significantly to your cost, but we opted to do that also because I use them both as working lights and ambient lighting. They dim well also. If you email them with your layout, they will put together everything for you in a cart and mark up the layout to show what they put together so that you can just place the order and have everything you need. Also, I should mention that if you have a light rail, you typically won't see the LED strips (they are quite shallow) unless you specifically look under the cabinet. I imagine that many of the pucks are that way as well.

I agree with poster that u may get more mileage from a ucl light strip. It will bring continuous light stream to counter vs being spotty lighting (unless you put in a lot of pucks.
