I doubt that there are many people here with waterfall soapstone counters as it is something relatively new.

I am "salivating" after them and I wish I had seen them before installing my "traditional" one :-(

But it would have required buying a second slab, so maybe it was a good thing I didn't know. LOL

Chipping has everything to do with edge profile and nothing to do with assembly.

The best way to do it is to carve out of one solid block.

I think I've decided to 86 the waterfall idea - I'm thinking about that stone being so close to the floor and getting kicked and banged. Then if I have to replace it, I also have to replace my 6 x 3 slab of peninsula! No thanks!! i'm too cheap.

It would look goooooorgeous but I just can't stomach that kind of investment for something I'll probably break. Plus I want a marble backsplash haha!

It's beautiful though.
