(I thought from the title this would be about really storing meds in the kitchen, which is what we have always done...we apparently need more meds in there than elsewhere!) But this "cabinet" might solve all problems!

How cool is that! And practical too!

Whoa... love it! I actually planned space for *actual* medicine, but a "cabinet" like that to hold "mommy medicine" is simply perfection!

Reminds me of my husband's grandfather. He had a cellar with hilarious labels, like "wine for really good friends" "wine for me, myself and I" "wine for people we really don't like very much," etc.

I'm also reminded of the apron, "I cook with wine--and sometimes I put it in the food."

I do not have a medicine cab. Great idea. What I do have
is a drawer that is specific to medicines and vitamins.
I take my meds with a meal and it is a fantastic idea to
have a medi cab in the kitchen.

yes! That was the email I received. Clever! Somehow I missed the responses to my post. I ran across it tonight while going through the pages one by one looking for the link to the great vacation home that the grandparents had a dorm type room with beds engraved with the children's names. Anyone remember that link? Thanks.

I found the lake house I was looking for. It was the Charlevoix "cottage". :-)

This brings me to a serious topic, though, which is what to do with two cookie tins full of meds in the kitchen--DH's and mine. As I watched my mother age I came to realize that meds were going to move into my kitchen as they did with hers. Sure enough, we're there now.

Currently I have a tin of morning meds which sits on one of the shallow shelves at end of peninsula and DH keeps his in one of the drawers for china and offloads them into one of those MTWThFSatSun plastic things. I also have an attractive jar with cork stopper which has calcium tabs in it--I keep it in plain sight with the hope that I won't forget to take a second dose during the day. Oh, and we've got a shallow basket tray that the dog's expanding set of meds rides on, also on the peninsula shelf. Not ideal but works for now. I think I might buy two more attractive matching tins for DH and myself and to continue using that peninsula shelf. What do the rest of you do?
