I've only had mine (jet mist) since April. No scratching. My daughter and 2 friends were just making "goo" which is exactly what it sounds like - gooey, gross stuff - made primarily of elmer's glue and food coloring.

Oh how I love my worry free counters!!!! I can never imagine having agreed to let them make that with some of the other stones we considered. I felt the same when my daughter helped me make a lemon vinagrette - lemon juice everywhere but it was a not a problem at all!

Dan-we have them on our perimeter. I don't think they look or feel porous at all (slight texture but I wouldn't consider it porous). We have only been in a month but no issues and we don't baby them. I don't worry about them a bit. What does your fabricator say?

Thanks everyone. I do not yet have a fabricator. I'm just checking it out. Want to make sure it is easy to clean and will be mostly trouble free when it comes to maintenance. Some say you never have to seal this absolute back while others say that you must seal it. The true seems hard to find.

Very true. I don't believe ours is sealed.
