Lighting for over sink

Hi all, I'm having an issue finding lighting for over my sink area. The attached pic is dark, but the shelf is made of antique cypress made to look like a 3" slab. The bottom of the shelf is about 8' high; ceilings are 10'. We can use low voltage or hard wired regular voltage.

My thought all along has been to use 3 led puck lights evenly spaced on each window and recessed into the shelf. Now I'm learning the LEDs I can find in bronze or brown have 25 watt equivalent light. I don't think that's enough light.

Would you: 1. Add more pucks? Or 2. Go to a flushmount or pendant(s)? I have a large focal light going over my island in an aged iron finish, so I didn't really want to compete with that. Any other ideas? Thanks!
