Meeting with the cabinet people today, I suppose to make our style and finish choices. Any important questions that I should be asking? Thanks in advance for any advice.

RE: First meeting with cabinet maker today! What do I need to ask

Ask for local references - people who are willing to have you come look at their cabinets and talk to them.

Ask for his business license if your locale requires them.

Ask how he handles change orders and "OK to build" processes.

Ask how he communicates with clients: if there is a problem that means the planned cabinet can't be built or installed, what happens? Does he "wing it", wait for your sign-off

RE: First meeting with cabinet maker today! What do I need to ask

search the forum, this question has been asked before and there are comprehensive lists for reference. Make sure to be careful on who does the finishing. I had a nightmare situation with a cabinetmaker who sub contracted out the job and the sub botched it. proceed with caution.
