Beach house transformation& Ikea kitchen progress!

It's been a while since I posted for advice here.. so I thought I would share the progress pictures. It's come a long way.. getting close but it takes so much time since my DH is doing it on his own just a couple days a month.

Very happy so far. Thrilled with moving the beverage refrigerator from the sink wall to a separate area and creating a coffee/bar area.

So here it is.have to pick out sink faucets next -one for prep sink in island and one for the apron sink. Can't wait to have a working sink!

Starting to look at lighting too.. so will post some for feedback.

BEFORE (kitchen in middle of space, with den on near side behind the big wall (the fridge was there), and a living room beyond the kitchen) We opened up the 3 small spaces into one big open kitchen/family room

(now the corner of the kitchen, moved windows down to this area)

(corner where fireplace was)

That can't be the same place! Taking out the brick & stove was pure genius! Your views look awesome ;) The kitchen is so bright and fresh now. You have transformed it from blah to fabulous. I can't wait to see it all done!

Thank you all.. it's been a great project.We bought it in December and its nice to finally have a place that is almost ready to enjoy for the summer.
It was handy having a contractor right next door that we hired to do some of the heavy duty work like replacing the structural beam/post and recessing a bigger beam in the ceiling to open up the space more, and moving 3 windows to get a better layout and views.

Peanutpumpkin: this house is in Ocean Pines by the St.MartinRiver near Ocean City,MD. Is SBB-bethanybeach?

Oh my gosh, what a difference those windows make! it's going to be fabulous. Can't wait to see the completed project.

I could have sworn it was back on the bay in South Bethany Beach but I was kind of close! Enjoy the summer and your wonderful new kitchen.

Very Close! BB is such a cute town , we looked at a few houses just online there-some very adorable places and nice if you can bike to the beach. Enjoy the summer there too.
