Cracked marble countertop

shelbar

Our fabricator accidentally cracked our marble countertop as they were loading it on the truck for delivery. They are telling us (and General Contractor confirmed) that the crack is along a fissure and can be fixed. They say they would apply a resin and polish the stone and it would be fine. I am extremely hesitant and concerned, but would hate to be wasteful, or overly demanding if this is true. Does anyone have any experience with repaired marble? Will it be susceptible to more cracking or possibly staining along the repair? Just not sure if I let them repair it or request that they replace it. Thank you for any advice!
