| We are two weeks into kitchen demolition. The dropped ceiling was removed, the plumbing and electricity have been rerouted, a new ceiling is in and there is light in the tunnel!
The faucet is the Grohe Concetto in Stainless Steel: Now I am looking for a soap dispenser to match. I can't find one that has the "barrel" type body with a curved spout. Does such an animal exist? Or could you show me something that would work? Thanks in advance. |

My two Hansgrohe Talis pulldown faucets are very similar to your Grohe. I used the Elkay soap dispensers and think they go nicely with the faucet.
Here is a link that might be useful: Elkay soap dispenser

I will have the Brizo Solna at the prep sink. It looks very similar to the Grohe. I am using the same dispenser at Breezy.

I'm shopping for a soap dispenser too. I was told a 3 in. spout reach is too short and can drip down the side of the sink. I also noticed some have 16 oz. bottles and some have small bottles. I probably wouldn't bother with Never MT with a larger bottle. Some have top fill. Who knew there were so many considerations in buying a dispenser! Anything else we should know before we buy?

For those that have been through the gamut of soap dispensers.... here's my take Bought the Never MT. The soap we use is Softsoap anti bacterial soap. I tried various ways to make the Never MT work smoothly and it never did. Maybe the soap was to thick. Threw all 5 of the Never MT out... My Grohe dispenser. The finish/style works with sink. IT'S A TERRIBLE design as the bottle is not affixed/screwed it. It's held by pressure...and depending on how you fill/refill - move stuff in your can - if the bottle falls/soap just stays on the wood, it can and will eat the wood.... The Kohler I bought to replace it - both $$$$$ for what they are made out of - component wise. At least the bottle screws in snug on this unit. Both are designed to be refilled from top. I find that the thickness of the soap jam up when very slowly filling from the top hole versus into the bottle direct

Thanks for the input. I had a look at Elkay and found this model: http://www.flickr.com/photos/garden-pixie/ What I like about it is that the spout can swivel and it is long at 4 1/4 ". What I am not sure about is the oval spout shape, if that will go with the more rounded shape of the faucet. Also, it is 5 1/2" high, which will make it more of a feature. I think. Any opinions?

Hey gemini, Does your Waterstone soap dispenser get clogged? I've always thought the simpler the shape the better (less places for soap to dry out and stick) but the Waterstone faucets are so nice that I'm guessing they did a good job with the soap dispenser too. Have you had any problems with yours? Laura

Chefwong--I use the same soap in my nevermt with my Elkay dispsenser. I dilute mine with about 25% water. Others here have done 50/50 water to soap. I've never had an issue with my setup.

Laura - no problems so far - only about 1 month into it - but my DH tests it a zillion times a day. The design is pretty simple - Lift out and fill from the top. I have been using basic Softsoap - but bought some Simple Human liquid soap at BBB in sale to try. Gardenpixie - the Elkay looks similar and Bee gives it 2 thumbs up (see other post) - OK - she didn't really say 2 thumbs up but she does like it and probably less expensive than the Waterstone.

gardenpixie - I have the same faucet and also have an Elkay soap dispenser. I think they work well together. HTH!

ayerg73 - That combination looks nice! a2gemini - Thanks! I've definitely decided to go with Waterstone for my kitchen fixtures. What pushed me over the edge was finding one of the model 5400 faucets on eBay last night for about $500 new! I snapped it up, of course. I may put it in my current house for a while until the new place is done. :-) Laura
