Kohler Whitehaven has small dimple where you can see cast iron!!!

The counter is not yet installed. It looks like there is glaze over this area, but it is indented and a dark iron color. Should I keep it? We e had it at the builder's place in a box and, now that its installed, you can see it. Any advice?

First I would call Kohler so there is a record of the issue and so you can get a feel for how receptive they are to taking care of the issue.

If there is a dimple with iron showing through it will rust so I would definitely want it replaced. Will your builder be involved or did you purchase the sink on-line?

Yes, call Kohler. It shouldn't have a dimple!

Our builder bought it for us. I'll call Kohler first thing tomorrow. Will removing the Whitehaven damage the cabinets?

I just noticed it's you, threeapples, geez. So many issues, so unfair! Why would they install a defective sink. I think your builder is responsible for having a new one re-installed. The plumber should not charge you again since he missed it and installed a faulty sink. They know perfectly well, with iron.

Kohler said this is a problem
And will issue us a replacement through faucet direct. The builder did not caulk it in, thank goodness!!! So glad I pursued this.
