Granite: Kashmir White or Ivory Fantasy?

Posted by sindylee (My Page) on

I forgot to pick up a sample of Kashmir White granite with me to compare with my other forerunner--Ivory Fantasy. Does anyone have an opinion which is better? In terms of care/stain resistant or overall look?

Thank you,

RE: Granite: Kashmir White or Ivory Fantasy?

We have Ivory Fantasy and love it. I liked that it had more cream/tan/brown movement in it. We paired it with soft white cabinets and a butcher block on the island - so the creams/tans went well together. If I remember correctly, Kashmir White had more black and grey with flecks of garnet. Although I liked the stone, it didn't really match with the butcher block.

I did find that the slabs of ivory fantasy varied greatly - so be sure to check out a few different slabs.

We had our IF granite sealed, and no issues at all with any staining. And we have little kids - so lots of spills and sticky messes here!

good luck with your reno!

RE: Granite: Kashmir White or Ivory Fantasy?

Personally, I like Kashmir White better but have you confirmed that you can get a slab? There are some major supply issues with it right now.

We found one place that could get us a slab, but all of the ones they had were very brown. The other eight places we went to could not get it at all.

If you decide that's the look you like, River White/Tidal White is very similar.
